Reonna Johnson is an award-winning marketing and brand strategy executive with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations clarify their positioning, strengthen growth strategies, align teams, and turn ideas into action.  She spent the bulk of her career leading business development and marketing strategy for major advertising agencies, including Deutsch, RPA, mcgarrybowen, Wondros and David & Goliath.  Her work has helped lead to client engagements with multiple global brands including Taco Bell, Dr. Pepper, NerdWallet, Cedars-Sinai and many others.

She established ReRe Consulting in 2025 where she has worked with a variety of clients including the City of Inglewood where she is supporting the City’s Public Art Program through project coordination, stakeholder engagement, procurement processes, Arts Commission initiatives, and the development of public art policies and programs.

Johnson has also served as a Marketing Strategy and Business Development Consultant for David & Goliath, where she partnered with agency leadership to strengthen new business strategy, agency positioning, pitch development, and growth processes. Her work included refining the agency’s story, developing targeted outreach strategies, creating proposal and thought leadership materials, and introducing AI-enabled research and workflow systems to improve speed, consistency, and efficiency.

Johnson has also built platforms at the intersection of creativity, culture, and community. She is the co-founder of Three’s a Crowd, a nonprofit and creative network, and the co-founder of Rooted, a fitness studio in Inglewood focused on wellness, education, and community.  She is also the creator and host of Hex Code Black, an award-winning podcast exploring class, culture, creativity, and the realities of work.

Her work builds on more than two decades of corporate and agency leadership across top organizations in New York and Los Angeles.

Before she was a consultant, Johnson served as SVP of Marketing Strategy & Partnerships at Deutsch, where she led agency marketing, growth strategy, strategic partnerships, and public-facing communications in support of new business and revenue growth. She built the agency's marketing and growth infrastructure, partnered with executive leadership to shape agency positioning and pitch strategy, led cross-functional teams across strategy, creative, media, analytics, and production, and introduced AI-enabled systems that improved marketing and business development operations. She developed growth strategies and led new business efforts across categories including financial services, food and beverage, healthcare, and consumer brands, supporting opportunities involving NerdWallet, Taco Bell, Dr Pepper, Cedars-Sinai, and others.

Throughout her career at RPA, mcgarrybowen, Wondros, and Korn Ferry—a global executive talent management consulting firm—Johnson has led brand transformation, strengthened market positioning, and managed high-stakes business development efforts. Her brand experience includes Farmers Insurance, Honda, La-Z-Boy, Clorox, Olive Garden, Intel, Burt’s Bees, Maserati and many more.

At Korn Ferry, she led global brand publishing initiatives during a period of significant growth and expansion. As the firm acquired several talent management companies and broadened its position beyond executive recruitment, Johnson helped reposition its global magazine as a credible business publication focused on leadership and talent.

She worked with distributors including Barnes & Noble and Hudson News to secure strategic placement alongside publications such as The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes. This work helped strengthen Korn Ferry’s reputation as a global authority on business, leadership, and talent.

Known for building clear, scalable marketing systems, Johnson develops messaging frameworks, go-to-market strategies, business development processes, and operating rhythms that help teams align, move faster, and drive growth.

Her work has been recognized with honors including an Anthem Award Silver honor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, AdColor Change Agent recognition, an Ad Age Creativity Awards finalist distinction, Campaign’s Female Frontier: Championing Change award, Adweek Women Trailblazer recognition, and MediaPost Creative All-Star honors.

Johnson began her career as an executive assistant at Capitol Records and Fox Television, gaining early experience in entertainment, media, executive operations, and business leadership during a formative era in music and culture.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles.
